No one is liked by absolutely everyone. Not me, not you, not our friends and family. No one is liked by absolutely everyone. For every person who likes us there are probably three or four people out there who don’t share their sentiment. When you are a politician or a Supreme Court nominee it isn’t any different. There are going to be a lot of people who like the person, there will be a lot of people who don’t like them. Judge Brett Kavanaugh and President Donald Trump are two examples of this. There are a large number of people in America who support Judge Brett Kavanaugh and believe that he is a man who deserves to be respected and admired. Even before Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez came forward and made allegations of sexual misconduct against him there were a lot of people in this country who did not like Judge Brett Kavanaugh. As American’s we should be able to have our difference of opinions without harassing each other.
Unfortunately, it seems that an out of control group of radical leftist do not share the belief that it is okay for Americans to disagree with each other. The group of leftist that I am referring to harassed Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife Heidi, out in public at a restaurant Monday night. The situation became so intense that Cruz and his wife had to retreat from the restaurant. A video of the incident shows that the unhinged leftist group were harassing Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife over Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh who has recently had more than one sexual misconduct allegation made against him. The group responsible for the harassment of Senator Ted Cruz and his wife call themselves Smash Racism DC.

When the group first approaches Senator Ted Cruz and his wife in the first video it is easy to determine that this group was not there for a peaceful exchange of dialogue no matter what Senator Cruz said if it was not what they wanted to hear. Loud voices can easily be heard as the group of protesters approach the senator and his wife shouting, “We believe survivors!”
A woman off camera shows Senator Ted Cruz and his wife a little more respect than the rest of the group she was with when she said, “Hi, I’d love to talk to you about Brett Kavanaugh tonight. I’m a constituent, love to know what your vote is gonna be tonight. I know that you’re very close friends with Mr. Kavanaugh. Do you believe survivors?”
The woman informs Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, that she feels she has a right to know his position when it comes to Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Despite those who are shouting around the unseen woman Senator Ted Cruz shows her respect and politely tells her “God bless you, ma’am.”
The woman returned his politeness and let him know that she appreciates him before she said, “I’m a survivor of sexual assault. I believe all survivors. There are now three people who have come forward and who have said that Brett Kavanaugh has attacked them. I know that you’re close friends with him. Could you talk to him about that? Could you talk to him about his position?”
It is during the second video that we can see how quickly the situation started to escalate as Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife can be seen having to try to fight their way through the crowd as they leave the restaurant. Before Senator Ted Cruz and his wife left the restaurant there can be no signs of restaurant staff trying to protect the comfort of their paying customers. It is only after the senator and his wife had already left that a member of the restaurant staff can be seen telling the out of control leftist group to leave.
This was not the first time that members of the political left have shown America that somewhere in their warped logic they genuinely believe it is okay to harass and attack others who do not share their views. I have never encouraged people to start a fight, but I may have to reconsider those views if the political left continues their public attacks on people they disagree with. For now, as I have always said before. If you find yourself in a situation where you must fight it is never good to be the one to throw the first punch. But if you must fight, then win.
