The Canadian government of Justin Trudeau is reportedly going to award convicted terrorist Omar Khadr $10M compensation. Khadr spent 10 years at Guantanamo Bay. A court declared Khadr guilty of murdering American Soldier SFC Christopher J. Speer
The Trudeau Liberals have a pattern of siding with extremists, terrorists, and shady anti-western values characters. Context matters. So it is important to point out that Justin Trudeau has bragged about visiting every mosque in his Federal riding. Including the Al-Sunnah Al-Nabawiah mosque, a Wahhabi mosque named by U. S. intelligence officials as a place where “known al-Qaeda members were recruited, facilitated or trained.”
Trudeau was quoted at the time say, ““I think I’ve probably been to every single different mosque in my riding. I know a number of people who have been listed by the U.S. government on a no-fly list—.”
In 2016 Trudeau government announced it would send $25 million taxpayer dollars to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) which experts have agreed is infiltrated by Hamas.
Justin Trudeau has a history of courting the Muslim vote. He never passes up a chance to visit a mosque. He cheerfully spoke to crowds of Muslims at the 2012 Toronto Reviving Islamic Spirit Conference where concerns have been raised about some of the radical speakers that also attend.
Justin Trudeau, in 2015 as leader of the Liberal Party supported the niqab and other Muslim face coverings in Canada. He called out the Harper Conservatives who dared to call honor killings barbaric. Trudeau rolled out the charge of “Islamophobia” said, “It is nothing less than an attempt to play on people’s fears and foster prejudice, directly toward the Muslim faith.”
Trudeau’s relish for promoting Islamic causes is, when he’s not taxing Canadians and jetting to Africa to give away more taxpayer cash, it would appear a top priority.
The recently passed Bill C-6 allows a convicted domestic terrorist to regain his Canadian citizenship. Zakaria Amara convicted leader of the Toronto 18 wanted to bomb the Toronto Stock Exchange, storm Parliament and execute politicians. Don’t doubt this guy will get millions in compensation.
Is anyone concerned the Prime Minister of a G-7 country wants Islamic terrorist to retain Canadian citizenship? (Harper, under Bill C-24 removed Amara’s citizenship. He was to be deported.)
Back to Khadr. U.S. troops caught Khadr after a battle in Afghanistan. Khadr, 15 at the time, was later found guilty—based on agreed facts by Khadr’s lawyer during trial—of throwing a grenade that killed Army Sgt. First Class Christopher Speer. Khadr was packed off to Guantanamo. In 2010 he pleaded guilty to murder and sentenced to 8 years.
In 2012 he was transferred to Canada (under the Harper Conservatives, something they were not compelled to do.) to complete his sentence. Unfortunately he did not stay locked up for long and by 2015 he was on the street.
The payout is said to be for abuses he suffered while in custody of the U. S. military. The Canadian media will roll out the “child soldier” narrative. But Khadr comes from a family of terrorists.
This is bad for Canada, disastrous for Canadian taxpayers, and sets a dangerous precedent. Will our security agencies decide it is safer from a legal point of view to back away from investigations into terror plots? The possibility can’t be discounted. And with Trudeau’s “open and transparent” government ever more totalitarian we are unlikely to know of these cases.
You see the pattern of anti-Western behavior of this Liberal government. Trudeau is reelected in 2019 all bets are off as to the future of Canada. Is a $10,000,000 payoff to a convicted terrorist enough to rouse the docile Canadian taxpayer into political action? Well?
