American Twilight Zone

It started with the gay frogs…

Well, not really but the gay frogs tie everything together. People around the country calling themselves Anti-Fascists (“Antifa”) are going around halting free speech while hitting people with bike locks. Donald Trump is President of the United States and things are actually alright, contrary to what some say. On top of that the media and Hollywood are pushing around the concept of harming our President, all while calling everyone racist and wondering why people cheer when conservatives go after CNN. So I don’t forget, Alex Jones was right about the gay frogs, there is a segment of the population that still think the Earth is flat, and let’s for all its worth remember that some Americans think chocolate milk comes from brown cows. A lot of news is fake news but some stories you just can’t make up.

Are we entering the Twilight Zone years of American history?

No.

Turn off the mainstream, fraud outlets and when you focus on your family, friends, and community, things are surprisingly normal. I might even say if you cut out the noise and constant screaming of doom and gloom, life is actually pretty stable. Even when you do plug yourself into the mainstream of constant click bait and non-stop breaking news, everything seems more ridiculous when you just begin to whittle down the frauds, scammers, posers, and attention seekers.

For the last several years, crime has been hitting an all time low in the United States. In 2016, 3% of American voters chose to cast their vote for a third party when faced with two parties that disappointed them. The American economy is seeing actual growth, despite all the drawbacks put forth by the last several administrations. All in all, things are not leading towards the end of the world.

Is President Trump getting two scoops of ice cream actual breaking news? No.

Was backing out of the Paris Accords a death wish for the world? No.

There are obvious issues we need to face as a nation, but the first thing to do is this- admit when even Alex Jones is right, stop saying everything the President does is breaking news, and come to terms that CNN is fake news. Once you eliminate the background noise, life becomes a whole lot less stressful and everything seems like they aren’t moving as fast.

We aren’t in the Twilight Zone, because frankly it took a strange reality to inspire the episodes of that series anyway. Life is life but we are doing better than the self-anointed elite give us credit for.
